These D rings are very nice and a great, economical choice. The opening is 1-1/2", overall measurement is 1-7/8" x 1-3/8". The metal itself is 4 mm thick. These rings are not welded, but have a nice tight closure. But if you do need to open them you can do so with a pair of pliers (wrap the pliers in masking tape to avoid scratching the finish). Nickel finish.
