These slides are beautiful. They are square (rectangular, really) with rounded edges. A slightly curved convex shape and a recessed center bar make strap adjustments super-easy, The opening is 1", overall dimensions are 1-7/16 X 1-1/4". The metal itself is about 6 mm wide and about 3 mm thick. Shiny nickel finish.
