These D rings are very nice. The opening is 1-1/4", overall measurement is 1-3/8" x 15/16". The metal itself is 3.4 mm thick. These rings are not welded, but have a tight closure. If you do need to open them, you can do so with a pair of pliers (wrap the pliers in masking tape to avoid scratching the finish). Gunmetal finish.
